a cheaper way that will also work is that you could get like some sort of grease from around the house and use that, but make sure that it isn’t something that you use for cooking though
I know that Cascio music does, and I’m fairly certain White House of Music does also.
thanks again for the tip man.
valve oil is too thin for greasing. it’ll dry and make the tuning slide as stuck as it was before.
thanks man. im really new at this. but what happens if its greased with valve oil? will it be stuck eventually or something?
you should take your trumpet to your local music store to see if they can get it out. then grease the the tuning slide with slide(not valve) oil. periodically grease your slide every month or so.
great video man. however i just want to ask you a question though, im new at trumpet playing and already, the tuning slide of my horn is kinda stuck man i didn’t know what happened or what i did wrong but it just got stuck, do you have any tips in loosening it or do i need to buy a new one? thanks in advance man. keep it coming man.
Keep in mind this is one opinion. Many teachers and performers advocate mouthpiece buzzing to achieve specific goals. One theory: the better the mouthpiece sound, the better the trumpet sound.
this video really helps! finally!
does anhyone have msn!!! msg me. my msn live id is jane22fall l
okay i don’t play professionally or anything but some shops will let you test the mouthpieces they have in stock so go to some shops around you and see if they let you test them out just try mouthpieces that are bigger than the one you are using and find one that works best for you because your body always changes.
15,000 view :)))
when i play my throat closes up and buzzes…ny techniques for me?
I really need help too.
The most difficult part for me is playing high notes and 16th notes. This video is helpful, but I feel like I need a little more help.
your tounging is incorrect i had a similar problem a while back… part of it was because my emboucher had to shift to hit certain notes when i was tounging. It was because the space where i was tounging was incorrect. figure out where it is that our tounge is tounging at… it should be behind the top teeth… just practice tounging slowly on one note and then descend chromatically… but very slowly. and pay attention to the tounging and sound production… hope this solves your problem.
keep your corners thight… and if your aperture is correctand this still is happening then you are using too much air and it’s finding a place to escape because there is too much pressure. In the words of rafael mendez “no more air shuold be used than that which is used in everyday conversation”… juat practice long tones and it has to be one fo the three things i told you, just sit down and work it out.
I’m pretty good with the trumpet, althought I rarely practice. when I was young, I damaged my teeth and now I have a gap. Could that be affecting my embochure?
What is the piece you are playing at the beginning of the video?
i need help
i was really good at playin high notes in eigth grade now im in high school and its hard for me to go high
i guess my lips have gotten bigger
can you give me some advice???
i need some advise, like i have a pretty good form to play but when i play or buzz, sometimes i get like air released from my right side why is this, how can i imrove to stop the air from leaking ???
Also I have a question if you would to so kind to answer it :
When I play my trumpet my embouchure moves with I tougue or play a note but when I slur my embouchure does not move . Is anything wrong with my playing ? Is there anything I can do that can improve my playing ?
Thank you
You are very welcome. Good luck with your playing!
Thank you for the advice and the tips I hope tis we help me with my playing ! Thank You !
also dont buzz the mouthpiece… it has to much tension in it… take the tuning slide out and play on the leadpipe
